A wistful smile comes over John’s face as he recounts his days adventuring with his father. As an LA native growing up in Hollywood, he considers himself fortunate to have had the opportunity to grow up with a father who showed him a world outside of city life. “He used to take me on these incredible adventures. I learned to appreciate wildlife and the wider world outside of developed society.”

An homage to his father, an avid outdoorsman and world traveler, John Tilley created Trophy Room as a celebration of his father’s life and legacy. A living, breathing time capsule of architectural and artisanal commitment, Trophy Room takes us back to a time when craftsmanship was valued over cheap, trendy, “instagrammable” aesthetics. As he looks around the venue he explains “I wanted to build something to memorialize my father’s legacy, so that if he were still alive, he would’ve been astounded by the grandeur of Trophy Room, as he himself was always proud of what he built.”
